Who is the Llama?
Howdy! Allow me to introduce myself.
Hey there! I am Alana, like a llama. Get it? My dogs are named Tyrone & Gus and together we are A Llama & a Dog. I am a native Texan originally from Fort Worth. I rescued 'Rone in 2009 and shortly there after high tailed it three and a half hours down I-35 South, eventually settling in Austin. a client of mine found Gus in 2023 and I adopted him. I am LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and gender queer. I love watching TV, specifically The Office and Bob's Burgers, playing pool, listening to true crime podcasts, and wandering around town with my dogs. I am very passionate about what I do. I am a solo entrepreneur and started my business because I love dogs. I mean, who doesn't?! From my family to yours, thank you! 💕 🐶 🦙
The Corporate World is Not for Llamas 🦙
In May 2022, I had been working for 15 years and I was burnt out. I hated corporate culture and was not happy. I had walked & cared for dogs for almost that entire time and I considered it a hobby that happens to make me money. I was talking to a friend one morning as I was walking a dog before work, telling them I wanted to manifest a dog walking business. My boss fired me later that day. I decided that instead of applying to another job I will end up hating to start my business right then and there. Thank you for trusting A Llama & a Dog with your favorite family member.
